As one member of the Board I have no "power" so to speak.  To make changes it requires the majority of the Board to vote in favour of any particular action.  So it with the Board that I share these successes.

When I came on the Board I was struck by the fact that we had no ability to manage our financial needs.  If we needed more money all we could do was write the Minister of Education a letter of request.  We always got back a simple "no, but thanks for asking" response.   With that as my experience I waved the banner of revenue generation.  The foremost is the Langley School District International Student Program and the Langley School District Foundation.

New Home for a great school.  

Langley Education Centre meets the diverse needs of our community.  We were paying a lease that was not funded by the Ministry of Education and was costing us thousands of dollars.  With empty room in LSS we transformed a wing for the new minted Langley Education Centre.  Something I am very proud of.  

Moving  as also a tough move from the inner city of Langley to its country setting.  

However, when all was said and done Apex is now in a fine newly renovated school and has more to offer than it ever did.

Voting to open the school years ago was wise decision years ago... opening it in a new improved location will continue to benefit our students and staff and has also proven to be wise.
